About YUYUPAS ABOUT YUYUPAS

01. What does YUYUPAS mean?

In the Tsou language, YUYUPAS represents “abundance and well-being.” We hope to create a homeland where tribal members can live and work peacefully in their own community.

02. Where is the park located and what is the environment like?

Located at an altitude of approximately 1,300 meters in Alishan, YUYUPAS is a three-hectare cultural park that blends natural ecology with Tsou tribal elements.

03. What was the original vision behind establishing YUYUPAS?

After Typhoon Morakot devastated Alishan in 2009, we founded YUYUPAS with the belief that we should not only “protect a mountain,” but also “manage and sustain a mountain.”

Through the “Building Nests & Realizing Dreams” initiative, we hope to encourage Tsou youth to return home, reconnect with their roots, and continue preserving tribal culture.

Our park is open daily from 09:30 AM to 04:00 PM.

Revenue generated from our high-value specialty agriculture supports the Mao Da Nuo Theater and the preservation of tribal history, while also providing quality employment opportunities for young people returning home.
