01|Shopping Guidelines
  • All product photos are taken from actual items. Due to screen display differences and lighting conditions, slight color variations may occur. Please refer to the actual product received.
  • Natural burlap material may contain fiber textures, loose threads, tiny black dots, or weaving marks. These are normal characteristics and are not considered defects.
  • Customized products (such as printed logos, graphics, or text) cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged once production has been confirmed.
  • Please inspect your package upon receipt. If there are issues such as expired products, defects, or shipping problems, please contact us within 7 days of delivery. Kindly provide complete photos/videos of the product (video recording from the unopened package is recommended) via our official LINE @614ddxai, along with your order number or phone number and a description of the issue. Our customer service team will assist you as soon as possible during service hours.
  • If there are any concerns upon receiving the package (such as broken glass sounds, unusual odors, or any abnormal conditions), please record the entire unboxing process.
  • Returns or exchanges cannot be processed if the product has been opened without providing video proof.

We carefully select core varieties including Alishan Oolong Tea and Jin Xuan Tea.

02. What international certifications do your teas have?

In addition to receiving the “Featured Tea Estate” award from Taiwan’s Agriculture and Food Agency in 2017, we also became Taiwan’s first tea plantation to obtain Rainforest Alliance Certification in 2022.

03. What is “Mountain Terroir” and why is it important?

We not only sell tea, but also share the unique “Mountain Terroir” of Alishan and our commitment to environmental sustainability.

04. What is the difference between Spring Tea and Winter Tea?

Spring tea offers a refreshing sweetness and rich aroma, while winter tea grows slowly in colder weather, resulting in a smoother texture and deeper aftertaste.

05. What are the flavor differences between Oolong Tea and Jin Xuan Tea?

Oolong Tea features elegant aromas and a lingering aftertaste, while Jin Xuan Tea carries delicate milky and floral notes with a smooth and sweet finish.

06. Is there a professional tea guide at the tea garden?

Yes, MARFEE Tea House features eight traditional tea pavilions nestled within the mountain tea fields, where professional guides lead visitors through an immersive Tsou cultural tea experience.

07. Are your teas tested for pesticide residues?

To meet the strict standards of the Rainforest Alliance, all of our teas undergo rigorous safety inspections to ensure both quality and environmental sustainability.

08. How should Alishan High Mountain Tea be brewed properly?

We recommend using boiling water at 95–100°C, warming the teapot before adding tea leaves, and adjusting steeping time according to personal preference for the best aroma and aftertaste.

09. What is the shelf life and storage method for tea?

Unopened tea is recommended to be consumed within two years. Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and strong odors.

Alishan Specialty Coffee MARFEE COFFEE ESTATE

01. Do you grow your own coffee beans?

Yes, our coffee is cultivated at elevations between 800–1300 meters. We grow approximately 3,500 coffee trees, including Geisha and SL34 varieties. Together with our contract farming partners, we are one of the largest coffee estates in Alishan.

02. What is the difference between washed and honey processed coffee?

Washed processing creates a clean cup profile with bright acidity and fresh floral-fruity aromas.

Honey processing retains part of the fruit mucilage, resulting in richer sweetness and a distinctive honey-like body.

03. How do you achieve “zero-defect” coffee beans?

We utilize advanced AI defect sorting machines, density sorting systems, and color sorters to ensure every bean meets our highest standards.

04. Have your coffees won any major awards?

We received the First Prize at the 2020 Taiwan Domestic Specialty Coffee Evaluation, as well as the “Best Post-Processing Excellence Award” at the 2022 Alishan Green Bean Processing Invitational Competition.

05. Have you collaborated with any well-known brands?

Yes, in 2022 we collaborated with McDonald’s McCafé to launch the “Alishan Cloud Mist Single-Origin Coffee.”

06. What makes MARFEE Coffee Estate’s equipment unique?

We are the only coffee estate in Alishan with a complete in-house post-processing system.

From fermentation, depulping, drying, hulling, polishing to grading, every process is carefully managed by our team.

07. Can coffee beans purchased online be ground into powder?

Yes. Please indicate your brewing equipment in the order notes, and we will gladly provide complimentary grinding service.

08. How should coffee beans be stored after opening?

We recommend storing coffee beans in a sealed one-way valve bag, keeping them in a cool and dry place, and enjoying them within one month for the best flavor.
